Edward Frank Morris

I've worked for the United Nations for a while now as a United Nations Volunteer. I work solely online. I don't usually publicize the groups or people I help when it comes to the United Nations. Typically, the groups who I do help are within developing countries. The capacity in which I work is typically involving Social Media, Marketing, or Business Development.

I started as JCI UK Southampton fresh out of a meeting with them at Unity 101 Community Radio. Since then, I've been working with JCI UK in trying to bring more backgrounds into the society. Since my inception, JCI UK Southampton as a group have won a multitude of awards and have been recognized as one of the most prominent groups in the UK.

My current voluntary role within the Bank of England is to advise agents and others within the Bank of England sphere regarding sentiments of the citizens Hampshire (or Southampton) area. So far, I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with the previous Governor of the Bank of England - Mark Carney. As well as the current Governor, Andrew Bailey.

As a member of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), my role is to actively participate in the creation and shaping of a human-centered approach to AI. I am deeply involved in an array of activities and discussions that center around the implications and development of AI, with a strong focus on ethical considerations and practical implementation.

Attending and contributing to seminars and lectures that facilitate robust discussions on AI-related topics. My active engagement in these intellectual exchanges enables me to both share my insights and learn from other leading experts in the field.

Offering critical insights on ethical aspects of AI development and deployment. My input is centered on ensuring the development of AI is considerate of societal, cultural, and individual human needs, values, and rights.

Providing pragmatic guidance on the implementation of AI technology in various industries and applications. This involves considering both the technical and ethical aspects of AI, and translating theoretical discussions into actionable strategies.

In this role, I remain committed to the goal of the Stanford HAI to advance AI technology in ways that improve the human condition and ensure that AI benefits all of humanity. Show less
