I spent a year abroad as part of my degree at The University of Glasgow. During my time at CUHK I took courses with a particular focus on Asian business environments and political landscape of Asia. In addition, I took courses in Chinese language (Simplified Mandarin).

Activities and Societies: Chinese language course
I completed a 3-week programme in China's 4th best university. The programme explored the most important concepts and actors in Chinese domestic and foreign policy as well as China's relations with the world. During the course, many controversial topics came to the fore. My final project was on Chinese projection of soft power as seen through the lenses of a case study on the Confucius institute.

Summer course on disaster management and resilience organised by Fukushima University and supported by the Japanese government. Programme included site visits, information sessions on radiation and disaster prevention related to the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Activities also included community rebuilding and volunteering.
