The central purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide advice, guidance and support to the Director of School and other senior colleagues within the School, helping the School achieve its vision and strategic objectives. The make-up and membership of the Board helps to ensure that the School can operate as a leading business school in its approach to meeting the needs of the employers and other stakeholders, in the UK and overseas. The central purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide advice, guidance and support to the Director of School and other senior colleagues within the School, helping the School achieve its vision and strategic objectives. It is hoped that members of the Board will, individually and collectively, contribute to communication and endorsement of the School’s work and, thereby, help raise the profile and reputation of the School.

Specifically, the role of the Advisory Board is to:

• Advise on a range of issues that impact the success of the School in its various market places and in achieving its overall mission and strategy. The Board provides a forum for the Director of School to seek advice on the School’s strategic plan
• Develop and support the student experience and improve the employability prospects
• Contribute to helping make the needs of business, the professions and the community explicit and shaping the School’s understanding of future trends in business and management education
• Offer specific guidance and advice on key projects and innovations
• Developing the School’s profile and reputation through communication and endorsement of its activities to businesses and other agencies, helping identify any opportunities for new business/investment funding. Show less
