“I worked with Francesca during her time at Edelman. She was a fantastic account director for our team, she is creative, innovation and really delivers results on PR campaigns. I got to know her personally as well as professionally and I'm confident she would be a fantastic asset to any team.”

About
To get ahead, you need to be able to make your point and influence people in moments that matter. And to do it in a way that feels like you.
Presenting, public speaking, pitching, big client meetings, feedback chats, challenging your boss or clients. If those things make your shoulders rise towards your ears, come and work with me.
I help individuals and teams unpick what’s holding them back, training them in techniques and frameworks that help them deliver their point in a way that makes people respect it and remember it.
Developed over 20 years in PR and media training, my approach means you can leave that meeting, pitch, or conversation knowing you’ve said what you wanted to say, in a way that gets the results you want.
I do that with friendly chats, peppered with questions to make you think. By sharing my leadership experiences, through tried-and-tested comms tricks. Even with Lego.
Whatever it takes to bring about that change in the way you show up, communicate, and influence those around you.
It’s about more than feeling comfortable in the spotlight - it’s about making the most out of the moment.
Available for one-to-one work and team training, book in for one of those friendly chats to find out more.

What are the most effective ways to collaborate with other creatives during brainstorming?
Everyone gets their creative inspiration in different ways - and that rarely seems to be in the forced setting of a brainstorm. Brainstorms are much more suited to extroverts who won’t necessarily have the best ideas. Companies should find out how different people ideate - and tailor sessions accordingly. Of course do the basics right - set a brief ahead of time, expectations, have different people facilitate throughout so different voices are leading and heard. Create a psychologically safe environment, and manage interruptions so there’s no main characters. Have a very ‘YES and’ approach. But essentially, it’s impossible to create the perfect creative moment. Brainstorms are never going to be right for certain, great people.

How can you add humor to corporate speeches without offending anyone?
For me the best way to use humour is to consider the context (is it even appropriate here?) - Know your audience and understand the demographic. Without this, trying to be funny could be a dangerous game! - Make sure the humour is actually relevant and links to the message of the speech. - Keep it self deprecating. Better to make yourself the brunt of the joke than others. A good way to get the audience onside. - Keep out of the gutter and avoid taboo. - Do it with topics you’ve earned the right to joke about professionally - Remember humour can be visual too!
