In my current elected role as President of the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA), I regularly navigate high-pressure situations, chair strategic cross-border multinational meetings of European Music Rights organisations and represent those constituents’ agendas with European Parliament Ministers. I oversee a professional staff focused on the implementation of initiatives that champion the rights and economics of music creators. I have been successful at driving increased public awareness of ECSA’s mission and its profile within the industry, with the public and with political bodies that are empowered to further the organisation's and our members’ goals. All of these initiatives, programs and lobbying efforts have strengthened our member organisations’ commitments and future resolve to financially support ECSA.

As a music rights advocate, I am keenly focused on communicating the needs, desires, and ambitions of songwriters and composers, at any and all opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally. I have opportunities to do this often through invitations by industry conference organisers and political groups to speak as an industry expert, to moderate industry panels and to give testimony to governmental committees.

Internationally recognised as a metadata expert, I consult with industry stakeholders via initiatives such as DDEX and Credits Due, and I have the honour of representing the Ivors Academy on the UK Government implemented Metadata Education Working Group. Collaborating closely with the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), I played a key role in the creation of CLIP, a platform fostering copyright knowledge among global creators.

Another area in which I am a committed advocate is that of diversity, equity and inclusion. I have a track record of successfully identifying and recruiting highly skilled individuals from underrepresented groups for specific board and committee positions.
