What is involved in being a mentor?
Mentors should be prepared to support mentees in the following ways:
Get to know the mentee (minimum 3 check in calls)
Career coaching on resume building, interview strategies and career advice

The first ever *Salesforce Military Innovation Sprint*! Military Trailblazers will work on teams to tackle real world challenges using the Salesforce platform. You will be earning resume-worthy skills and building connections with peers in the ecosystem. Where Is It?
Demo Jams are held live at events and online on appdemojam.com via YouTube. Live events are confirmed based on each event location, but they're typically held in the Expo hall theater of the event.



Why Do It?
Demo Jams are a great opportunity to give a demo to a live audience of 80-150. The Demo Jam videos have seen up to 11,000 views per video. They are a platform for brand exposure. AppExchange promotes heavily and each partner will hopefully promote for great cross-pollination.

It's an excellent opportunity to put your best demo delivery teammate in the spotlight. Plus, it's a TON of fun! Show less

*RESUME REVIEW ACTIVITY*

*Duration: 10 Minutes*
During this session, you will meet with job seekers for individual 1:1 consultation to review each job seeker’s resume. Take a minute or two to review the resume from each job seeker and provide specific feedback so the job seeker can make changes. Feel free to point out what you really like about the resume too! Everyone loves a bit of recognition.

*Sample checklist for reviewing resumes:*

* Resume lists name and business appropriate email address.
* Are there any spelling or grammar issues?
* Is the resume well organized and easy to find information?
* Does the resume includes a summary or objective that quickly outlines their career goals?
* Does each previous experience also contains metrics around performance in the role?
* Is the resume one page? If not, does it make sense for it to be more than one page?
* Does the resume showcase the individual’s Salesforce experience via badges, super badges, or certifications?

Why do we need you to give blood?
We need new blood donors from all backgrounds to ensure there is the right blood available for patients who need it.

We need:
Nearly 400 new donors a day to meet demand
Around 135,000 new donors a year to replace those who can no longer donate
40,000 more black donors to meet growing demand for… Show more

As an international non-profit organization in the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders, DKMS focuses on raising awareness around these conditions, their treatment, and the registration of potential stem cell donors to save patients' lives.

Aside from flying, sports, target shooting, adventure training I soon found that being an air cadet is its own reward - you constantly see the benefits of your own efforts, building on your achievements and earning BTECs and DoE Awards. I was expected to take part in as many of the activities run as possible, from Junior Leadership Course to Gliding Scholarships.
