  • SheCan365 - An inspiring book of 365 stories told by 365 female entrepreneurs in 365 days

    Michelle and Christian Ewen

During the past 12 months, the creators of the #SheCan365 project have been on a unique, personal mission to interview 365 women in 365 consecutive days and tell 365 stories.

Our subjects come from all walks of life - representing an inclusive, diverse range of female entrepreneurs at every stage of the business journey (from start-ups to seven-figure ventures).

Our women have given their time freely - discussing how and why they have continued to push through to success whilst managing everything from mental ill-health and fertility issues to identity crises and financial battles. Their super power is resilience - showing up every day no matter what and making the world a better place for it.

In this final phase of the campaign, we’re delighted to make a very special announcement…

In response to popular demand from our #SheCan365 contributors, we are planning to publish the whole collection of stories in a beautiful ‘coffee table’-style book in time for International Women’s Day 2020!

About 100 Women 100 Stories Countless studies have proven that girls and young women are negatively affected when they cannot see positive role models. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote, this book offers hope to all girls and young women in a world that has yet to address the unfairness that still characterizes too many lives. 100 Women 100 Stories features the inspirational narrative of a few to empower all women with accounts of courage, achievement, sacrifice and compassion. Women breaking the glass ceiling in business, politics, and both public and private sectors. Women going above and beyond their call of duty, everyday heroes, positive role models in our communities, cancer survivors, fundraisers, and self employed women entrepreneurs. Instead of gender equality, there remain entrenched attitudes and even institutional discrimination. Step by step, one by one, amazing women have shown how change can be achieved with determination and raw talent. Whilst carrying burdens of family responsibility and denied opportunities, the stories captured on these pages demonstrate how bravery and single-minded tenacity can overcome all barriers. We all need to create a future where celebrating anniversaries of women achieving equality becomes redundant. We already have the capacity for positive and enabling change. That future should be now, and it is the responsibility of us all, women and men alike, to make it so.

We each have unique talents and gifts that make us different. But not one of those talents and gifts is more important than the next. And not one of those talents or gifts is any good without others to complement it. Because it is only the contribution of the many that creates the world we need.

Behind every face you meet lies an incredible capacity for achievement and contribution that is equal and beneficial to your own and we are privileged to share in each other’s lives and stories. The current narrative is about the equal recognition and appreciation of women’s contribution to our communities. Something we are all learning to do better – with current changes to law and widespread conversation.

Working on the principle of Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate, #SheInspires has successfully delivered events in House of Lords, UK, Nehru Centre, London, Al Quoboos University in Oman and India.

#SheInspires works on multiple platforms to boost the visibility of women’s stories of achievement and endeavour, through Awards, Publications and Events to shine a light on the work of women from diverse backgrounds, careers and ages.
