“I have had the pleasure of working with Lee, as part of the Leadership team of Spectrum, GSK’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group. Lee's dedication, support and leadership have been nothing short of inspiring, working tirelessly and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all. His belief in the importance of diversity and inclusion was evident in every initiative he led as he consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every member of our group and the wider ERG felt valued and heard. One of Lee's most notable contributions was their leadership during our annual Pride events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community but ensuring everyone was welcome and Pride was all year round and not during one month. Lee also organised and facilitated our global network calls which brought so many people together and were a real highlight for all. His planning and implementation was meticulous and his passion and efforts resulted in increased participation and heightened awareness of LGBTQ+ issues within the company. Lee has exceptional interpersonal skills and his empathy and support for team members were instrumental in creating a safe space where individuals could express themselves freely. He was always available to listen, provide guidance, and advocate for the needs of our group, and I saw the significant difference he made in the lives of many colleagues. Lee's ability to lead and collaborate across various departments strengthened our group's influence and presence within the company and his strategic vision and execution were crucial in driving our initiatives forward and achieving our goals. Lee is an outstanding leader whose dedication, empathy, and support have profoundly impacted our LGBTQ+ employee resource group and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging across the broader company. I wholeheartedly recommend Lee for any leadership role or initiative they choose to pursue. They are a true asset to any team. ”

- Ensured each partner was able to showcase their individual identity under the Proud Science Alliance brand, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
- Organised venues for preparation, creating a conducive environment for participants to get ready for the parade.
- Curated a diverse range of on-route entertainment, including live bands, to enhance the parade experience and engage the audience.
- Hosted weekly strategy meetings, facilitating effective communication and coordination among team members and partners leading up to the parade.
- Managed budgets, independently and collectively accessing partnership groups, ensuring equitable distribution of costs and maintaining transparency through a spreadsheet.
- Aligned and managed parade applications across partnership groups, streamlining the process and ensuring a cohesive representation of the Proud Science Alliance.
- Designed t-shirts and overall look of the parade group, creating a visually appealing and cohesive identity.
- Coordinated the creation and display of flags and banners, enhancing the visibility and impact of the parade group.
- Collaborated with the events team to organise a post-parade event, providing an opportunity for participants to celebrate and connect. -
