Building Society: Collaborated with the team to review and enhance client policies, standards, and procedures related to data management and strategy. Our efforts resulted in streamlining processes and improving the Client’s data governance framework, ensuring stakeholders were better equipped to make data-driven decisions.

Retail and Commercial Bank: Engaged in extensive coding using SQL to analyse large datasets, identifying inaccuracies, trends, and recurring patterns. This analytical work revealed critical insights and facilitated informed decision making for Client’s backed up by data.

Through these experiences, I further developed my technical proficiency in SQL and honed my problem-solving and communication skills. I'm proud to have been part of a team dedicated to delivering value for Clients and having a meaningful impact on the industry. Show less

As part of my academic journey, I participated on a research project focused on understanding and addressing the issue of student absenteeism. I meticulously designed and executed a comprehensive survey that delved into the root causes of absenteeism among students.

The survey findings were instrumental in uncovering critical insights and potential solutions, some of which included initiatives like reducing accommodation costs for students from underrepresented backgrounds, offering online lectures to support students facing mental health challenges, and providing more personalised feedback to enhance their learning experience.

To amplify the impact of our research, I collaborated with two other fellow students and a distinguished professor in the department. Together, we transformed the survey results and interview responses into visually compelling graphs and charts using advanced data visualisation techniques in Excel. Our work culminated in a compelling presentation to a senior professor panel and fellow students, where we shared our insights and proposed departmental enhancements for the upcoming academic year. In a proactive leadership role as a Student Ambassador, I undertook a vital initiative to advocate for my fellow economics students during the challenging times of COVID-19.

I initiated a survey to gauge student sentiment regarding the format of exams, considering the shift to online exams due to the pandemic. The department's decision to conduct all exams in person presented challenges, and I believed it was crucial to address this issue on behalf of the student body.

In an impressive display of solidarity, I swiftly gathered an astounding 300 student signatures in under 48 hours. This remarkable response underscored the importance of the issue and the collective concerns of our student community. Armed with this strong backing, I presented our case, along with compelling findings, to the head of the economics department.

Through this advocacy effort, we successfully conveyed the significance and frustration of our fellow students, ultimately leading to a positive resolution.

As a Student Ambassador, I am committed to championing the concerns and aspirations of my peers, advocating for positive change, and fostering a supportive academic environment where every student's voice is heard and valued. Show less
