I attended Cambridge as a member of Clare College.

I conducted independent research for my thesis on the diagnosing of anorexia nervosa in 19th century medicine (with a focus on the UK and US). During my degree at KCL I studied a wide range of modules, including but not limited to:
- Early English literature (dating back to Beowulf)
- Influence of the Bible & ancient mythologies on English literature
- American postmodern literature
- Shakespeare's late plays
- Victorian literature (with an emphasis on the intersection of scientific discovery and literature)

My Victorian literature module led to an interest in science from a sociological and historical… Show more

During my degree at KCL I studied a wide range of modules, including but not limited to:
- Early English literature (dating back to Beowulf)
- Influence of the Bible & ancient mythologies on English literature
- American postmodern literature
- Shakespeare's late plays
- Victorian literature (with an emphasis on the intersection of scientific discovery and literature)

My Victorian literature module led to an interest in science from a sociological and historical perspective, determining the focus of my postgraduate studies. Upon graduating from KCL I was offered places at both Oxford and Cambridge.

While at KCL, I was the recipient of the Sambrooke Exhibitions & Henry Neville Gladstone Exhibitions Award for the quality of my academic work. Show less

I attended PSI, at that point in time one of only two IB schools in Kyiv, Ukraine from 1996 until graduating in 2010. I graduated one of two class valedictorians with High Honours, the highest accolade in the IB programme.

I was a four-time consecutive winner of the school's creative writing competition, winning in either the prose or poetry categories every year from the competition's establishment until my graduation. I was also a recipient of the annual European Council of… Show more
