    Activities and Societies: Student Representative, MA Human Resource and Employment Management in 2013/2014

    The MA in Human Resource Management provides a theoretical and practical understanding of HRM principles and organisational psychology, including Leading, Managing and Developing people and Contextualising Management, Resourcing and Talent Management, Employment Law and Practice and Strategic International HRM.

    The MA in Human Resource Management provides a theoretical and practical understanding of HRM principles and organisational psychology, including Leading, Managing and Developing people and Contextualising Management, Resourcing and Talent Management, Employment Law and Practice and Strategic International HRM.

    Dissertation: "Learning the ropes". A critical evaluation of the onboarding resources provided to new starters: Nowadays companies invest considerable amounts of time and money in recruiting the best talent. However, that effort can be lost if the new recruits fail to adapt and settle down in the new role and the new organisational environment. Hence, the effective onboarding of new starters is becoming a key human resources tool that can help organisations to improve their productivity, engagement levels and employer brand, amongst other benefits.

  • Through this degree, I acquired in depth knowledge and expertise in the field of Law in Spain and also in International Law. Modules in this undergraduate university degree of five years duration included Spanish Employment Law, International law, Commercial Law or Civil law. This program was completed with practical experiences at the Cantabria Property and Land Registry and at a Public Notary office.

  • Women's Leadership Series 2019 Rising Leaders Program

    -

    A leadership program for women as part the News Corp Women's Leadership Development Series, which was focused on Rising Leaders. This program was focused on our rising leaders versus employees already in key leadership roles. This was the first global program where the women selected were provided workshops and virtual coaching sessions amongst other training and development resources. Talentedly was the external vendor conducting this program.

  • Mental Health & Work/Life Task Force

    -

    As part of this task force, we did evaluate and benchmark what we are doing at Dow Jones regarding mental health and understanding what other organiations are doing to promote work life balance.

    We also wanted to have a solid understanding of what works well in other companies. By doing so, it allowed us to complete a 360 review of our current practices and programs to make impactful recommendations for our employees wellbeing.

    We did approach this project in a collaborative mode…

    As part of this task force, we did evaluate and benchmark what we are doing at Dow Jones regarding mental health and understanding what other organiations are doing to promote work life balance.

    We also wanted to have a solid understanding of what works well in other companies. By doing so, it allowed us to complete a 360 review of our current practices and programs to make impactful recommendations for our employees wellbeing.

    We did approach this project in a collaborative mode where we shared ideas, provided each other with insight into learnings and offered recommendations to each other. Everyone had the opportunity to contribute to the task force and to the organisations and be their best selves.
