I have 31 years working in or associated to the transport, warehousing and distribution sector, 18 years of which have been in recruitment. I have a strong logistics background and a passion for working within this sector. I have worked in a variety of logistics companies in my career, working on the shop floor, in compliance, operation, and account management. I have an International CPC and maintain knowledge of the market place and the legislation through training, media and associations with bodies such as the FTA.

My first assignments were for the Branch delivery of client requirements on a day to day and long term basis, with the operational control of finance/budgetary requirements. We provided the northwest with staffing solutions across Driving, industrial, and clerical. I had involvement in several initiatives, contract logistics, and high volume Industrial requirements for production and warehouse requirements. Also Clerical staffing and client innovation such as mobile call centres with the capability to assemble and deconstruct the requirements at short notice. The core role was the business as usual running of a large recruitment branch in a heavy requirement and competitive area servicing large clients in the area with day to day and contract solutions. I was also involved in the training of new consultants coming to Manpower who required there legislative knowledge improving.

Developing best practice and improvments to service across all the network. on secveral occasions myself and my team were seconded to other locations to support and develop the sites.
