This paper discusses about an emerging technology in the field of manufacturing called “additive manufacturing (3D printing)" and characterises it as “disruptive” to the established firms in the manufacturing industry. Disruptive innovation has emerged as a significant area of interest for academics and practitioners and is particularly associated with the work of Clayton Christensen. In this paper, my argument about disruptive technology and how established firms should respond to such disruptions has been primarily supported by various papers/books authored by Clayton Christensen.

  • Why India needs organised retailing?: A case study of India’s FDI in multi-brand retail policy

    Manchester Business School

This was my research paper for the module "Global Politics & Global Business". I was awarded "Distinction (>70%)" for this work.

This paper discusses about India’s policy in multi-brand retailing, and stresses on the point that foreign retailing could be the solution to India’s failing economic growth. My argument supporting organised retailing in India is backed by Walmart’s India strategy, and explains how foreign retailers like Walmart can change the face of India’s retail sector.
