About

After obtaining a First Class Honours Law Degree and a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course, I qualified as a Solicitor in September 2009. Following four years with Heringtons as an Assistant Solicitor, a local and well known firm in East Sussex, I was invited to become a Partner. I accepted and joined in April 2015.

I deal with all types of Civil Litigation including consumer disputes and debt recovery matters. However, my main interest lies in Landlord and Tenant Law.

This includes possession/forfeiture proceedings, service charge disputes, advising on maintenance and repairing obligations (including disrepair claims), matters regarding breach of covenant, collective enfranchisement and lease extensions.

More recently my practice has expanded to include commercial landlord and tenant disputes, acting for both landlords and tenants in various aspects (including the above) and also 1954 Act Notices and proceedings.

I am keen to give updates on legal matters to others, previously I have given presentations local surveyors and letting agents on various leasehold matters. It is important to me to build and maintain relationships with other local professionals.

I am conscientious and dedicated to my area of law. My main priority is to obtain the best possible results for my clients whilst delivering an excellent service.

I am originally from Hastings and I am keen to promote young lawyers in the area. I was previously a committee member of the Hastings and District Law Society hoping to create a young lawyers division within the society not just for solicitors but all of those involved in legal practice such as paralegals and legal executives. Since then I have been invited to local careers fairs speaking to students undertaking GCSE’s about the legal profession.

Outside work, I spend my spare time with my family. However, as an avid football fan, including grassroots football, I have recently obtained my first coaching badges and I am the Assistant Manager of a local youth team, the Hastings Athletic Football Club Pink Falcons. I also try to watch my beloved Manchester City in action when I can. I am also an avid reader and can be found most evenings with a good book.
