What do you do if your team members don't trust you when delegating tasks?
Ask yourself why, trust is built and earned and not given lightly. But also highly effective teams are build on a foundation of trust and mutual support, and cannot be considered effective without it. Spend time with your team and be willing to ask open questions on their perceptions of you and on the areas you do well or could improve without taking it personally. Trust comes from knowing not just someone's technical competence but also who they are as a person, their experiences and motivations.

Many people join start ups to make a difference, pay and benefits are important but often outweighed by a culture of wanting to make and contribute to change, as such a culture where your contribution is acknowledged and your opinion is listened to often outweigh other factors, as start ups mature this can sometimes be lost to the desire to make quick progress but remember the saying, if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together...
