Received 1,000 tweets over the course of the day, coverage in the London Evening Standard newspaper and Metro online and have been voted top of PSFK's top 5 Google Creative Sandbox campaigns.

Users could tweet #snow @thesnowmachine to trigger a 10 second flurry of snow, have their twitter handle displayed on a large LCD screen and have a photo of their snowfall tweeted back to them. All photos were pulling into thesnowmachine.com microsite (now shows wrap-up video and professional photos) during the course of the day. Tweet harvesting through the Twitter API > processing app > arduino circuit board connecting to a relay switch allowed the control of tweet to activate the snow machine. Project managed the whole project, which included event planning with Westminster Council and Covent Garden, prop, vehicle and equipment planning and hire, and website + technical project management.

  • Realtime Man

Weapon7's presence at Internet Week 2012 was to challenge an individual to attend over 100 events in just 5 days, build up a social network and share as much information as possible about those events with that social network. Time-stamped and geo-located twitter and instagram integration brought all the content together on a single microsite hub. Project managed the entire project from event planning to website production.

After launching their first platform approximately 2 years ago, we worked with them to entirely redevelop their offering, making it smarter, more in tune with their customers and open for future growth.

A project for the National Media Museum to create an online experience to support their Life Online exhibition. Received a place in the honoree list of the 2013 Webby Awards in the Social Education & Discovery category.

Involved an extensive discovery phase of data research and contact with psychologists to form an academic basis for the project. Specification phase involved sourcing a creative partner to produce the code-generated artwork of the reflection itself, liaising with ex-Cambridge University data engineers to scope the writing of specific algorithms into C# .NET to interrogate supplied databases, and planning the phased release of the project to coincide with the launch of the Life Online exhibition.

The product: a unique tool to assess what your life online says about you. Phase 1 involves a bespoke data visualisation of a users face created using the HTML5 Canvas element (with a Flash back-up for older browsers), using a personality score from the academically backed Big 5 framework, that in turn is generated from either questionnaire responses or a users Facebook data. Using additional data processing and multi-dimensional scaling to plot data, phases 2 and 3 present the user with categorised suggestions of online objects that may be similar or appealing to them, and other site users and their own Facebook friends who are similar to them.
