Final year project: Failure analysis & evaluation of WC-Co abrasive cloth cutting blades (taken in conjunction with Placement Company)
Involving failure analysis of new and used blades using metallography, specimen mounting, surface grinding and polishing, 3D modelling (Pro Engineer) and Finite Element Analysis (Algor). Also research into WC-Co using materials science.
