Young Presidents' Organization Active Learning Program
- Present
A joint initiative of the London Business School and the Young Presidents' Organization to develop a novel approach to executive education. Participating management teams receive detailed data assessing their organization's capacity to execute strategy, a framework to identify high impact changes, guidance in implementing change, and measurement of impact.

Executing Strategy in Volatile Markets

Much of the literature on strategy execution is anecdotal, ad hoc, and lacks a base in research. My objective in this project is to create a comprehensive model of strategy execution, grounded in relevant research and tested in real companies. There are currently three major inititiaves.
> Executing Strategy for Results. A week-long executive education program organized around my execution framework, illustrated by relevant case studies and translated into action in participants'…Much of the literature on strategy execution is anecdotal, ad hoc, and lacks a base in research. > Execution Survey. A state of the art online survey to assess an organization's capacity to execute its strategy by aligning activities with corporate priorities; adapting to unexpected circumstances, and coordinating across units.
> Clinical trials. Working with members of the Young Presidents' Organization, this project measures preliminary capacity to execute strategy, makes changes to enhance execution capability, and measures impact compared to a control group of comparable companies.Other creators -
