    It's Nice That

Contribution to this article on portfolio copywriting for creatives: "Outline what your role in the work was — if it was a group project (and let’s be honest, you can’t do anything without collaborating these days) then outline what your task was.”

  • The Ideal Studio

Represent Recruitment & It's Nice That

My take, from an employees perspective, on what the ideal studio would be like: “I worked in one place where we used to shoot digestives with an air rifle, at another place people were all using headphones and didn’t even talk to each other, they just used online chat. Editor, art director and designer of this book that examines the topics raised at the Future: Content conference in London, 2010.

The conference invited a range of speakers to consider what the coming years would hold for the creative industries. This publication reproduces all those presentations word for word, with short links to any slides, photographs and audio-visual clips the speakers used.

Those featured are Anna Gerber and Britt Iversen of Visual Editions, Ogilvy & Mather’s Russell Davies, D&AD President Sanky, Francesa Panetta of The Hackney Podcast, Morgwn Rimel and Cathy Haynes from The School of Life, The Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic, Channel 4’s Adam Gee, FOAM/Sony Music creatives Phil Clandillon and Steve Milbourne and design legend Neville Brody.

There’s also detailed feedback from people who were there, sketching out what they took from the conference, and three specially-commissioned essays off the back of the event. James Sunderland pulled together what it all meant for professional creatives, Professor Andy Miah introduced bioart, and Michael Wolff wrote a hymn to genuine human interaction.
