Currently producing the Autumn 2024 series of Materially Speaking featuring more stories from Pietrasanta and our first all-Italian podcast about a craftsman who carves ships' figureheads in Liguria. Our Spring 2024 series included a documentary on 'sound' as an element in the renovation of Notre Dame; a pebble mosaicist from Liguria; a follow up episode on the Viareggio Carnival 2024 (in collaboration with the YouTubers 'Piazza Talk' in Lucca), and of course more stories from the artists of Pietrasanta and Carrara.

In Pietrasanta, Northern Italy, a community of artists carve marble - as they have done since Michelangelo brokered contracts with the local quarries. Intrigued by who they were, and why they chose to work in marble, I started to record their stories. In 50 podcasts they have told their tales of migration, identity and the history behind their recent commissions. A larger story has also emerged - of how this community dominated by one natural resource, marble, is adapting to the new technology, ageing artisans and the relentless pace of gentrification. I was proud to be invited to be a filter judge for the British Podcast Awards 2023 and was invited back for 2024. I listened and reviewed 34 podcasts in the Arts and Culture category during June 2023 for the awards in September.2024 judging is just beginning.

An Oral History project creating a social history snapshot of Kings Cross Station and the lives lived around the railway. I researched, recorded and edited interviews from 10 workers, commuters and experts on the Railway and Underground. For two years I wrote and presented a live weekly segment: 'What to do at the weekend' on the 10! show featuring quirky arts and cultural events happening in the area. NBC 10 channel broadcasts to the Philadelphia, Delaware and Southern New Jersey area.

Frank Skinner is a comedian, writer and actor and I was his first Personal Assistant. I handled a wide range of personal tasks and projects for him and liaised with his Management company, Avalon, for his television and live tours.

Prelude Entertainment produced creative entertainment for client and staff hospitality. I built Prelude from simply booking musicians for nightclubs to producing bespoke concerts and large entertainments for publicly listed and large privately-held businesses. Prelude also continued to simply 'fix' artists for over 150 events each year. Over my thirteen years with Prelude I produced concerts with Belinda Carlyle, Evelyn Glennie, Musique Principale des Troupes de Marine, and booked speakers such… Show more

I liaised between the Tokyo and British offices of this joint Arts Festival. We welcomed Japanese musicians, actors, producers and dignitaries to their London base at the 'The Reception Centre' provided translators, local knowledge and office support. I was sent to Tokyo for a week for reconnaissance trip to meet Japanese artists and crafts people.

I organised social functions and personal administration for the married couple at their home in Windsor - one early job included repairing a Dinosaur in the garden which was formerly owned by Ringo Starr. After their divorce, I acted as Renate's spokesperson, located a new home and worked to ensure her personal safety. I also helped Renate set up her Artists Management, organising an artist's showcase at Ronnie Scotts.

Parlophone and Capitol labels. Gained experience in all aspects of marketing Rock/Pop artists and their product. Co-ordinated cd packaging, design and production; Organised artists' dinners, parties and personal security. Artists included: Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Cabaret Voltaire and Pet Shop Boys.

Interviewed theatre, film, dance and television directors about their training opportunities and co-produced a weekend symposium. Arranged a series of workshops on the working relationship between the director and key roles of writer, designer and actor.

EPIC devised internal communications strategies for big companies. I liaised with clients on their research and strategies, and also organized annual Industrial Relations conferences (involving management and unions), ran marketing initiatives and wrote articles for trade press.

Purchasepoint was a below the line marketing agency. I worked in the Promotions Department devising Trade incentives and co-ordinating the judging of competitions and distribution of prizes.
