Events are my passion: I've spent two decades producing, managing and directing a wide variety of conferences, events and live experiences across multiple industry sectors.
I joined the Advertising Association in 2018 and am responsible for a wide portfolio of events across multiple workstreams and an extensive programme of member events.
Before joining the Ad Association, I spent two and a half years as Head of Content & Production at Haymarket Media Group where I produced three editions of Campaign’s award-winning event Media360.
Prior to this, I spent over a decade delivering technology and business events for a leading oil and gas consultancy, working across Europe, South East Asia and China.

Your key event staff are no-shows at the last minute. How will you salvage the success of your event?
Always plan to have one more person at the event than you need, so if one drops out for whatever reason, you have back up. It is also good, if possible, to build up a base of willing junior staff from other departments who could jump in by offering them the chance to shadow your key staff at other events.

Aid for Syrian Refugees in Europe

My colleague and I co-created a Facebook page to raise money for the huge number of Syrian refugees arriving in Bulgaria in 2013 and together raised over £2000 to provide vital supplies that were delivered to the refugee camps, where people were living in appalling conditions.
Our group, along with the organisation "Friends of the Refugees" (Приятели на бежанците) won the Human of the Year Award by the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee in December 2013.
