The Strava Business team works with brands interested in engaging with the Strava community, delivering an innovative and exciting alternative to standard advertising channels and formats. As a Client Partner, you will pitch, win, and nurture a book of business comprising leading brands and agencies.

You are an expert in how to sell to marketers at all levels, and have ample agency and direct to brand sales experience. You know how to align Strava’s sponsorship and media solutions to deliver on marketing objectives and you can do so creatively, strategically, and with a range of cross-functional partners.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Leverage your existing relationships with the “Big Six” media agencies in London to evangelise Strava and its audience and drive new business.
  • Sell Sponsored Challenges and other brand activation opportunities within the Strava app.
  • Manage a book of business with existing partners and deepen those relationships.
  • Prospect and close new business from partners across a range of verticals.
  • Work cross functionally (Account Management, Legal, Product, CRM & Marketing) to build and deliver local and global digital sponsorships.
  • Develop immersive brand activations that delight your clients as well as our Strava users.
  • Serve as the voice of our brand partners in your market, surfacing feedback and partner trends to team members and leadership.


You will be successful here by:

  • Creating demand for Strava products by uncovering customer problems and prescribing how our solutions can best solve them.
  • Continuously prospecting, reaching out to, and closing new agency and brand business.
  • Selling on brand value and return on investment rather than technical specifications.
  • Understanding prioritization between different opportunities and quickly learning to balance both inbound and outbound sales.
  • Effectively partnering and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for brand partners and Strava users.
  • Educating customers on Strava’s values and identifying and prioritising partners who are aligned with our mission and vision.
  • Consistently exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets assigned by management while contributing to overall team targets.
  • Maintaining pipeline hygiene to support forecasting and revenue achievement.


We’re excited about you because:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying digital advertising or sponsorships role with a focus on agency development.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the digital media and advertising landscape and love building relationships both with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • You are a well versed communicator, able to engage your audience and clearly articulate a value proposition whether it’s an internal or external pitch.
  • You are organised and fully own your book of business, including pipeline hygiene and management.
  • You have experience serving as the ‘voice of the customer,’ surfacing relevant feedback internally to product, marketing, sales, and engineering and advocating for the customer’s needs and requests based on your wider understanding of the digital landscape.
