Job Description

Who are you?

Passionate about HR with a keen interest in employee relations, employee engagement and diversity & inclusion. Strong empathy in communicating with employees and leaders. Known for being highly organised and detail-oriented in policies & process management.

­­­What is the role?

The successful person will work closely with the Principal HR Business Partner and the Talent Acquisition team to support the organisation to deliver quality, person-centred, focused outcomes across the UK. This role will be an integral part of the team to assist with multiple HR functions including employee relations, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion and HR administration tasks. This person can work independently, under general supervision and recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness.

What will you be doing?

Specific tasks pertinent to this role can be broken down into:

  • Manage day to day employee issues including:
    • sickness reporting and management e.g. supporting managers with return to work interviews, occupational health referrals, managing sick pay entitlements
    • leavers process and analysing exit interview data
    • processing monthly employee changes on our HRIS system and producing associated letters / updated contracts
    • performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Prepare and deliver HR policies, procedures with oversight of our employee handbook, keeping it up to date with legislative and company changes.
  • Lead on employee engagement initiatives e.g. employee events, coordinating training days, employee focus groups, volunteering opportunities, promoting well-being and reward programmes.
  • Coordinate and deliver monthly HR communications through a range of channels and look for opportunities to increase employee engagement.
  • Responsible for monitoring and timely responses to HR queries and ensuring appropriate responses or referral to relevant HRBP’s, COE’s or Stakeholders.
  • Manage the HR registers to ensure compliance and all cyclical activities / updates are met.
  • Assist with arranging employee benefits (e.g. flu vaccinations) and other HR initiatives/events as required.
  • Process monthly employee changes in line with payroll deadlines, issuing new contracts and letters as required
  • Responsible for the delivery of updates to relevant systems including HRIS and LMS.
  • Prepare cyclical people reports, insights and presentations for a range of audiences. Using the data and analytics look for trends and make recommendations based on insights.
  • Provide project, administration and activity support to the HR Team including Principal HRBP and Talent Acquisition team.
  • Support on diversity and inclusion initiatives and with the coordination and management of diversity and inclusion action groups as required
Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role the key competencies required include:

  • Previous experience (3-5+ years) in a HR Officer / Advisor role, coupled with a qualification on human resources or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of prioritisation and time management.
  • Highly organised and adaptable.
  • Initiative and curiosity to learn and ask why.
  • A positive attitude and collaborative approach.
  • Strong MS Office skills; In particular PowerPoint and Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables etc.)
  • Enthusiasm and resilience to juggle a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.­­­
