🎮 | The #EdNapier team behind new immersive gaming technology, which aims to tackle loneliness and social isolation through dance, are showcasing it at the world’s biggest video games event. Carousel Dancing is a revolutionary dance game which allows players in different locations to interact in virtual reality using digital dance avatars and artificial intelligence (AI). It will feature new technology, called DanceGraph, which is being developed and patented by ENU. The Carousel project team, including colleagues from the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Grassroots Arts and Research, Aalto University and VIVITnet, are presenting their creation at #GamesCom, which officially gets underway in Germany today. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced Finance Assistants within our Fees Team who are committed to providing an efficient, effective, and comprehensive transaction service to the University and our students. The role will see you spend most of your time offering a helping hand to our students, using your empathetic nature to support in a variety of queries. 🎥 | Merchiston was a hive of activity this morning as we welcomed Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Local Government Shona Robison and the nation’s media for the launch of The Scottish Government's 2023-24 Government Expenditure & Revenue Scotland statistics. During the visit, the Cabinet Secretary also received a demonstration from School of Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment PhD student Franziska Heck, learning more about #EdNapier’s research in human/robot interaction.
