Yesterday was a whirlwind first day at the B Corp Louder than Words Festival! Firstly some opening speeches, including a particularly rousing one from Mary Portas on ‘the business of Beautiful Business’. She broke down the Say-Do gap that we all live by, and discussed using desire and trust as levers to drive positive behaviour change instead of consumption. Phil then bumped into the wonderful Yuval, where they dove into all things email over lunch in Oxford’s Covered Market. The day was simply packed with meetings with utterly inspiring business leaders, including a leader of one Phil’s personal favourites - Change Please. In the afternoon we discussed using partnerships as a key tool for driving innovation and growth - an approach that we love at EcoSend. 💚 After a flurry of ‘speed-date networking’ we cooled down over a drink with new friends at the B-Social event. We’re on the exciting journey to becoming a B Corp, and today’s conversations only reinforced why this is such an important step for us. One of the key, reassuring takeaways was the clear willingness of the B Corp community to support each other in collaboration to get to the joined up goal of a better world. Earlier this year, EcoSend founder, James Gill, was invited to sit on a Greenwashing Catalyst roundtable discussion with The Better Business Network. Joined by business leaders across the UK, including Maria Soleil ☀️, Madelyn Postman and Richard Boon, they all shared their experiences and thoughts on the topic of greenwashing. There were some really interesting conversations, and we are very excited to report that the Greenwashing Industry Report has now been released. • An incredible 63% of B2B organisations admit to greenwashing • Over 80% believed that there needs to be a greater understanding of terms such as greenwashing • Several participants felt Toxic workplace culture is a cause of greenwashing and vice versa • Over 50% of participants are aware of companies who have previously greenhushed 🔗 Please do give it a read and share your thoughts below. #Greenwashing #Greenhushing #EcoFriendly #Sustainability
