🚨 India TRUE data launch 'Real-world motor vehicle exhaust emissions in Delhi and Gurugram using remote sensing' analyses the first TRUE campaign in the region and provides policymakers with an independent picture of the region’s fleet.    Key findings include: 🚗 Real-world NOx emissions from private cars showed a reduction of 81% between the the two latest emission standards. 🚕 High-use commercial vehicle emissions are much higher emitters than private vehicles. 🌬 Compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle fleets also showed high NOx emissions, with some light good vehicles emitting up to 14.2 times their NOx limits, challenging the narrative of CNG is a ‘clean’ alternative fuel. 🇲🇽 New data launch TRUE’s first Latin America remote sensing campaign highlights high emissions from older vehicles and reveal the impacts of lagging national emission standards for light duty vehicles, showing: - The oldest 7% cars accounted for betwern 25%–42% of total fleet emissions. - The most popular taxi model emits 10 times higher NOx emissions than passenger vehicles. - Some of the newest popular vehicle models show emissions several times above the fleet average.
