Larry David’s HBO pic bulks up cast

'Clear History' will also star Hamm, Mendes, Keaton, McBride

HBO’s highly anticipated Larry David movie now has a name and cast.

Titled “Clear History,” the pic stars David, Jon Hamm, Kate Hudson, Michael Keaton, Amy Ryan, Eva Mendes, Bill Hader and Phillip Michael Hall, as well as HBO regulars JB Smoove and Danny McBride (“Eastbound & Down”).

The storyline: After losing a fortune due to a petty argument with his boss, Nathan Flomm (David), a former marketing executive at a start-up electric car company, is publicly humiliated for walking away from his 10% of a company now worth billions.

Ten years later with his marriage over and reputation ruined, Nathan has changed his identity and lives a simple life on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts under the new name of Rolly DaVore. But when his former boss shows up to renovate his summer mansion, Nathan vows to seek his revenge and drive his nemesis off the island.

David will co-write the pic along with “Curb Your Enthusiasm” scribes and exec producers Alec Berg, David Mandel and Jeff Schaffer. Also exec producing are Bradley Thomas and director Greg Mottola, who is also a helmer and co-exec producer on HBO’s Aaron Sorkin drama “The Newsroom.”

Production is set to begin this fall in Massachusetts. No premiere date has been announced.

HBO has not renewed “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” as they are awaiting a decision from David on whether he would like to go forward with another season. The eighth season ended last September.
