Simone Biles made a stunning return to the Olympics this past weekend, advancing to the all-around team final in Paris which will take place this Tuesday.

If her Olympic routines have heightened your interest in her training rituals and techniques — which no doubt helped her complete the most difficult vault in women’s gymnastics this past weekend — then you’ll want to head over to her Masterclass course, in which she details how she practices like a champion.

Through the 17-video course, Biles breaks down her techniques for vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor, in addition to her tips on performing under pressure and claiming a competitive edge. As one of the most decorated World Champion American gymnasts in history at only 22 years old, Biles has had to learn how to perform under immense pressure, which famously led her to drop out of the 2020 Olympics right before the team final.

“When I was a young gymnast, I was exactly like you,” she says in her Masterclass trailer. “I had a lot of love and passion for the sport but little Simone, she just flailed her body in the air and thought it was the greatest thing of all time. I needed to work on my technique and fundamental skills to improve.”

Throughout the course, Biles demonstrates fundamentals — from advanced to advanced/elite skills. Inititate your twist from the feet, for example, then the hips and then the shoulders.

“If you’re not nervous when you go out to compete, then something’s wrong,” she says with a laugh at the end of the trailer.
