Peacock, here I come!

Smash,” NBC’s Emmy-winning musical drama series starring Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty, is now available to stream on Peacock.

Per the official synopsis, the two-season series “celebrates the beauty and heartbreak of the Broadway theater as it follows a cross-section of dreamers and schemers who all have one common desire – to be a ‘Smash.'” Debra Messing, Christian Borle, Jennifer Hudson, Jack Davenport, Jaime Cepero, Will Chase, Raza Jaffrey, Andy Mientus, Krysta Rodriguez, Leslie Odom Jr., Brian d’Arcy James, Jeremy Jordan, Uma Thurman and Anjelica Huston round out the cast.

“Smash” premiered on NBC in 2012 and ran for 32 episodes. The series received five Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, winning for outstanding choreography, as well as both Golden Globe and Grammy nominations.

Created by Theresa Rebeck, who also served as executive producer on the series, “Smash” features original music by Tony and Grammy-winning duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Additional executive producers include Steven Spielberg, Neil Meron, Joshua Safran, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Craig Zadan, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with DreamWorks Television and Madwoman in the Attic.

An upcoming stage musical adaptation of “Smash,” directed by theater veteran Susan Stroman (“The Producers”), is slated to open on Broadway in 2025. Shaiman and Wittman (“Some Like It Hot,” “Hairspray,” “Mary Poppins Returns”), who wrote “Let Me Be Your Star” and dozens of more songs for the television show, are writing the score. Spielberg, Meron and Robert Greenblatt will serve as lead producers on the musical.
