Season 2 of the series will pick up with Russell’s foreign correspondent Kate Wyler still navigating the life of a U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom and the threat of brewing warfare abroad.

The series launched in April 2023 and became an instant success for Netflix, debuting at the top of the streamer’s weekly global top 10 English TV list. It was renewed for a second season within two weeks of its premiere. Russell scored nominations at the Emmys and Golden Globes for her lead performance.
