‘The Boys’

"The Boys" is Amazon Prime Video's satirical superhero TV drama created by Eric Kripke ("Supernatural"), Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and adapted from the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series debuted its first season in 2019, with its second launching in 2020, the third in 2022 and the fourth and most recent in June 2024. "The Boys" was renewed for a fifth and final season ahead of the Season 4 debut. The drama, which follows the titular Boys in their struggles against the nefarious supe organization Vought, has spawned multiple spinoffs at Amazon, including animated anthology "The Boys Presents: Diabolical," live-action college-set series "Gen V," and the upcoming prequel show "Vought Rising." "The Boys" has been both a critical and commercial hit for Amazon, drawing high viewership for the streamer and an Emmy nomination for top drama in 2021. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures. Stars include Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti, as well as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jensen Ackles, Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward.
