Timothée Chalamet

Timothée Chalamet (born December 27, 1995) is an American actor. He landed small, recurring roles in both “Law &  “Royal Pains” and “Homeland” early in his career. However, his duo feature film debut happened in 2014 with Jason Reitman's “Men, Women & Children” and Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar.”

Chalamet would eventually leave Columbia University, which he attended for one year, to pursue acting full time. After several years acting in a mix of festival-favorites, independent films and Christmas movies, including “Worst Friends” (2014), “Adderall Diaries”(2015) and “Love the Coopers” (2015), Chalamet’s long-awaited flick from Luca Guadagnino “Call Me By Your Name” premiered in 2017. Based on the book by André Aciman, Chalamet played main character Elio Perlman. Set in the 1980s’, Elio is a young man living in Italy with his family who falls in love with an older college student Oliver (played by Armie Hammer). The film debuted in Sundance and rode a the awards buzz landing Chalamet a plethora of awards noms including a Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Award, SAG, BAFTA and Oscar nomination. Chalamet would win the Gotham award and Independent Spirit Award for breakthrough actor this year.

After the success of “Call Me By Your Name” Chalamet would partner with Saoirse Ronan in Greta Gerwig’s “Lady Bird” (2017) as the main character’s (Ronan) love interest. The two would later reconnect in Gerwig’s 2019 film “Little Women” where Chalamet would play the role of Laurie. Chalamet is bilingual in French and English.
