  • The Operation Smile Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City had the honor of hosting representatives from MM Mega Market Vietnam (MMVN) and their partners, including Bel Vietnam Co., Ltd., DaeSang Vietnam Co., Ltd., Number One Manufacturing Trading Service Co., Ltd., and Duy Tan Plastic Manufacturing Joint Stock Company. The companies have supported 14 cleft surgeries to children through the Operation Smile program. During the meeting, there were touching moments and expressions of joy from the partners as they came together to provide life-changing surgeries for children born with facial deformities. This is the first year MM Mega Market and its partners have joined the smile journey with Operation Smile. Hopefully, such activities will be able to continue to spread more smiles in the future. #OperationSmileVietnam #osv35anniversary

  • The "For a Beautiful Smile" project by three students Duy Hung, Nha Khue, and Tan Thanh has successfully concluded, bringing smiles to six children with facial defects. With the idea of making and selling breakfast combos including sticky rice and juice, the past months have been a time of perseverance and spreading the spirit of sharing and helping those in difficult circumstances, both for the students and the community. The Operation Smile Vietnam office was honored to welcome the students and their parents to visit and bring smiles to the children. This is a typical student activity that Operation Smile believes, if further encouraged, will inspire future generations to confidently continue the 35-year journey of achievements we have built together. #OperationSmileVietnam #OSV35anniversary

  • Recently, Operation Smile organized an educational exchange dental program in Hanoi, Vietnam, marking our 35th anniversary of service in the country. Hosted at Vietnam National University, Hanoi’s University of Medicine and Pharmacy from March 25 to 29, the program welcomed over 230 delegates, aiming to enhance patient care through activities including a dental symposium, consultations, treatments, and student exchange sessions focused on hashtag #oralhygiene, promotion, and prevention. At Operation Smile, dentistry is vital to our hashtag #comprehensivecare strategy, addressing both oral and systemic health. Our dedicated professionals provide meticulous care, acknowledging its profound impact on overall health. During this program, our team, led by Dr. Peter Coletti, DDS, successfully delivered dental implants and performed various oral surgeries, including dental extractions, bone grafts, and sinus elevations. Moreover, our commitment to holistic care extended beyond treatment, prioritizing education and prevention. Student volunteers visited schools and orphanages, actively engaging in educating children on essential oral hygiene practices through interactive demonstrations and activities to foster a deeper understanding of good hashtag #oralhealth habits. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all involved, including local and international dental teams, University of Pennsylvania faculty and clinicians, colleagues from Operation Smile Vietnam, and the Ministry of Health for their crucial support. Special thanks to our in-kind sponsor, ZimVie Dental and Dr Amy Gan BDS, MDSc, for attending. Together, we can advance oral healthcare and education, ensuring healthy smiles for all our patients! #OperationSmile #DentalCare #365daysofcare Repost from Operation Smile
