Every Tampa Bay Athlete Bringing Home An Olympic Medal

This has been one of our favorite Olympics to follow along. From the Snoop Dogg fan club, to the viral athletes on social media, and amazing performances from Team USA, the 2024 Paris Olympics has been a treat. And what's even better is having so many athletes represent Florida and the Tampa Bay area. Here are the Tampa Bay Olympic athletes bringing home a medal from Paris! Florida has 46 athletes representing the Sunshine State in Paris, 14 of those athletes are from the Tampa Bay area. Team USA finished the Olympics with the most medals at 126. China came in second with 91 total medals and Japan finished 3rd with 45 medals. Related: The 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony Already Has Us Looking Forward to 2028 Before we get into who's bringing home medals to Tampa Bay, we want to give a shout out to all the Floridian athletes for representing us! It's been so fun watching and cheering for our hometown heroes! We've seen some first-time competitors this year like Monae' Nichols and Parker Valby. Tampa native Erriyon Knighton set a world record time of 19.84 seconds during the Olympic team trials but finished 4th in the Men's 200m final with a time of 19.93 seconds. Now let's congratulate all the Tampa Bay athletes bringing home a medal! Clark Dean The 2-time Olympian and Sarasota native is bringing home a bronze medal with the USA rowing team. Bobby Finke Way to go Bobby! He's a 2-time Olympian bringing home a gold medal for the 1500m freestyle competition and a silver medal for the 800m freestyle swimming event! Bobby is from Clearwater, is a UF alumni, and will be adding to his Olympic medal collection. Emma Weyant Congrats Emma! This 2-time Olympian and Sarasota native is bringing home a bronze medal for the 400m individual medley with a time of 4:34.93. Austin Krajicek Brandon native Austin Krajicek (right) is bringing home his FIRST Olympic medal. He and his teammate, Rajeev Ram, won silver in the tennis doubles competition!
