ATLANTA — On Tuesday, Georgians will return to the polls for a runoff election to select party nominees who will move on to November's general election.

How do Georgia runoffs work?
If no candidate in a primary election earns a majority of the vote (more than 50%), then the two top vote getters go to a runoff election to select a winner. According to Georgia's election rules, runoff Election Day is June 18, with early voting starting the week before.
