Raheem Mostert has a chest injury and De’Von Achane sustained an ankle ailment, the Dolphins’ Monday injury report revealed.

With a short week ahead and a game on Thursday night against the Bills, the two will need to be monitored by fantasy owners. The story went on to say while the team did not practice Monday, both Mostert and Achane were deemed they would’ve been non-participants if practice were held.

Head coach Mike McDaniel said in his Monday press conference that receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are both set to return to practice.

Hill has been dealing with a thumb injury while Waddle’s injury has not been disclosed, and the story added there have been no setbacks for either player.

With Kendre Miller being entirely unable to stay on the field, Nwangwu could carve out a legitimate early-down role, even if he isn't usable in fantasy. Just one more knock against Miller at this point.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is apparently dealing with a minor thumb injury that will keep him out of most, if not all, of Wednesday’s joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hill has been spotted wearing a brace on his injured hand, but head coach Mike McDaniel said he is not concerned about his availability for Week 1. Keep drafting him as a top-end fantasy asset.

The Dolphins have another injury concern, this time with one of their star players.

According to multiple reporters on the scene, receiver Tyreek Hill was on the field for Tuesday’s practice but did not catch passes while wearing a brace on his right hand.

Head coach Mike McDaniel is not slated to speak with the media again until Wednesday — which is when he will presumably be asked about Hill’s injury, the story said. Hopefully it's just a precautionary move on the part of Hill and the Dolphins, but we may not know more until Wednesday.

The 65-yard touchdown pass that Dontayvion Wicks caught in stride on the third play of Saturday's preseason opener at the Cleveland Browns was reminiscent of the 17 deep balls that Jordan Love connected on last year.

Only two quarterbacks hit on more throws of 25 or more air yards last season: New Orleans' Derek Carr and Miami's Tua Tagovailoa with 19.

As perfect as that throw looked against the Browns on Saturday as it floated 27.7 yards in the air, according to NFL Next Gen Stats tracking, it's easy to forget that even with 17 deep-throw connections last season, Love's completion rate on those passes was no better than 15th among all quarterbacks.

Working to improve Love's 34.7% success rate on throws of 25-plus air-yards has been a focus in training camp, the story said. So even though it was a preseason game, it was Love's first deep attempt in live action - and it was a success. The story added last year Love struggled to hit his speed receivers on deep throws, many of which were under thrown. Love's fantasy value seems to be on the rise and he's surrounded by a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Success on deep throws will only help continue his climb. Love is currently ranked 10th on our QB list.

Malik Nabers has that special quality the Giants have not had since Odell Beckham Jr.: he demoralizes defenses.

Stapleton went on to say he thinks Nabers might be better at the top of his routes than OBJ was as a rookie. He added that it could be the case that even though Nabers is covered, he's still open. Nabers was obviously hyped during the draft so he continues to prove his ability at camp. Some even considered him the top WR prospect, ahead of Marvin Harrison. Nabers is ranked 27th on our WR list heading into drafts, but has some things working against him with the Giants.

The 'Fins and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa agreed to a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with $167.1 million guaranteed,.

Tua should be considered a fringe QB1 until Tyreek Hill hits an age cliff, which doesn't seem to be anytime soon. This locks the QB with Mike McDaniel, making him valuable in Dynasty as well.

Miami Dolphins and WR Jaylen Waddle reached agreement today on a three-year, $84.75 million contract extension that includes $76 million guaranteed, per sources. The deal makes Waddle one of the league’s top five highest-paid receivers.

Waddle is now tied to Miami through the 2028 season, which locks him in with Mike McDaniel for years to come. Waddle recorded his third-straight 1,000-yard season last year, and is primed to do it again as a fantasy WR2.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is in the building for the start of Dolphins OTAs. The QB is slated to become the next quarterback to receive a big payday, but the sides are in negotiations. Tagovailoa said he was planning on attending the workouts.

Tua should be good to go for 2024, with one of the best receiving duos in the league. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle remain respective WR1 and WR2s in fantasy.
