The body of a woman has been found in waters near Cairns in Far North Queensland after she went missing early today.
Police were called to Palm Cove jetty at about 2.25am over reports a woman had entered the water and failed to resurface.
A search involving water police, local officers and surf life savers was launched.
Her body was discovered in waters off Buchans Point beach.
Investigations remain ongoing, but police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
Officers will prepare a report for the Coroner.
