Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan to meet former staffer after fresh details rise against MP Will Fowles allegations

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has agreed to meet with a former ministerial staff member who alleges she was raped by Labor MP Will Fowles.
The woman, who worked in Fowles' electorate office, told News Corp she had been allegedly attacked in a taxpayer-funded hotel room in August last year.
The Ringwood MP stepped down from his position within the parliamentary Labor Party in August last year after former premier Daniel Andrews referred the alleged incident to police. Police did not find enough evidence to charge him.
Fowles has always denied the allegations and maintained his innocence.
"Victoria Police have concluded their investigation and cleared my name," he said.
"I strenuously deny this allegation. It did not happen. There was no assault."
The MP failed to turn up to parliament today following new details regarding the staffer's allegations published in the Herald Sun.
Allan said her office had been in contact with the staffer and would meet her at an "appropriate time".
"I will always stand and support victim survivors," she said.
"This matter contains allegations that are deeply troubling and traumatic."
The former staffer also called for a cultural shift inside Victorian parliament.
