Washington, DC, November 13, 2020 –The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Alexandra Bey, MD, PhD, Resident Physician at Duke University, as the recipient of AACAP's 2020 Pilot Research Award for General Psychiatry Residents, supported by Pharmaceutical Industry Supporters.

AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for General Psychiatry Residents, supported by Pharmaceutical Industry Supporters, provides up to $15,000 of funding for general psychiatry residents who have an interest in beginning a career in child and adolescent mental health research. This award helps reduce the current shortage of clinical researchers by getting young investigators engaged in mental health research programs.

Dr. Bey will be recognized at the Junior Research Scholar Lunch during AACAP's 68th Annual Meeting in Georgia, Atlanta, October 25-30, 2021.
