Last week wasn't a bad week at the John Deere Classic. My top bet was Davis Thompson at 30-1, and he cashed in with a relatively easy Sunday performance. He was one of the more popular bets of the year in the golf betting circles, so it's always nice to see those cash.

We nearly pulled the double with Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra in Morocco. He was tied with six holes left but ran out of gas after that.

It's a big week in golf with the stars heading overseas for their last test before the year's final major championship – next week's Open Championship at Royal Troon. Plus, we get majors on the LPGA and Champions Tour this week with the Evian Championship and Kaulig Companies Championship.

Find my Global Golf Picks for the 2024 Scottish Open, LIV Andalucia and the Evian Championship among the eight golf tournaments below.

  • Scottish Open — PGA Tour
  • LIV Andalucia — LIV Golf
  • Evian Championship — LPGA
  • ISCO Championship — PGA Tour
  • Kaulig Companies Championship — PGA Tour Champions
  • The Ascendant — Korn Ferry Tour
  • Swiss Seniors Open — Legends Tour
  • Shigeo Nagashima Invitational Sega Sammy Cup — Japan Golf Tour

Global Golf Picks

LIV Andalucia — LIV Golf

Best Bet: Patrick Reed +2800 (bet365)

It's a fun stop on LIV Golf this week as that tour heads to Valderrama.

I'll go with Patrick Reed here as my favorite play. I've backed him quite a few times to no avail on LIV Golf, but the signs are there that he'll grab one at some point.

He spent the past two weeks playing on the DP World Tour so the game should be ready. Those finishes weren't great, 13th and 29th, but that was due to unusually poor putting. An average Reed week on the greens would have resulted in top 10s.

He also performed well here on LIV Golf last season by finishing fifth.

Other LIV Andalucia Bets:

  • Sebastián Muñoz +4000
  • John Catlin +8000

Scottish Open — PGA Tour

Best Bet: Justin Thomas +4500 (bet365)

We're into the home stretch on the PGA Tour as it makes its way to the U.K. for a couple weeks starting with the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club.

I'll go to Justin Thomas here at 40-1. He's played the course quite a bit and owns two top 10s. The past couple of years have been a rollercoaster, but the irons seem to be cooperative more often now.

He was fifth the last time we saw him at the Travelers Championship and also owns top 10s at the PGA Championship and RBC Heritage in recent months.

Other Bets:

  • Aaron Rai +5000
  • Robert MacIntyre +5500
  • Tom McKibbin 100-1
  • Bernd Wiesberger 150-1

Evian Championship — LPGA

Best Bet: Jin Young Ko +2200 (BetRivers)

As mentioned, it's a major championship week again on the LPGA. We're pretty familiar with the Evian Resort in France. Not only does it host this major, but it's a regular stop on the Ladies Euro Tour as well.

I'll go to the top here with Jin Young Ko as my favorite play. She has a win here back in 2019, and the game has seemed to bounce back after a rocky start to the season.

She was second in the most recent major three weeks ago at the KPMG Women's PGA. She also notched a top 10 in the team event in her most recent start.

Other Bets:

  • Linn Grant 28-1
  • Mao Saigo 50-1
  • Ye Won Lee 100-1
  • Nataliya Guseva 225-1

ISCO Championship — PGA Tour

Best Bet: Hayden Springer +5000 (BetRivers)

It's an important week for players on the lower end of the FedExCup points list. This alternate-field event provides a rare chance to lock up status while the stars are busy elsewhere.

For these tournaments, it's tough to find guys in great form at good prices. There's a reason they're here and not in Scotland to begin with.

However, Hayden Springer seems to have found his game the past couple of weeks. He has back-to-back top 10s and opened with a 59 last week at the John Deere Classic.

He's also shown up well in this type of field earlier in the year with a third in Puerto Rico.

Other ISCO Championship Bets:

  • Pierceson Coody 80-1
  • Filippo Celli 100-1
  • David Micheluzzi 125-1

Kaulig Companies Championship — PGA Tour Champions

Best Bet: Richard Green +3300 (BetRivers)

It's also a major week for the old guys at the Kaulig Companies Championship, formerly known as the Senior Players at Firestone.

The players are quite familiar with the course dating back to the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. so we have a strong track record here for many of them.

I'll take a flier on Richard Green here. His regular events haven't been great, but he's stepped up in the majors. He's finished third in the U.S. Senior Open and second in the Senior PGA.

It's always hard to dodge the top tier players on this tour, but Green has shown he can contend when it matters.

Other Kaulig Companies Championship Bets:

  • Steve Allan 66-1
  • Rod Pampling 90-1
  • David Duval 125-1

The Ascendant — Korn Ferry Tour

Best Bet: Kevin Velo +4000 (BetRivers)

TPC Colorado is an 8,000-yard behemoth of a golf course that hosts the Korn Ferry Tour this week. Sure, they'll be at altitude, but 8,000 yards is going to play long however you look at it.

Kevin Velo is the guy I'm going to this week. He's got a win this season back in February and has been riding strong form recently as well. He's finished in the top 25 in five straight events with a pair of fourths mixed in there.

Velo has shown the talent on this tour to go with consistency, so this seems like a decent price.

Other The Ascendant Bets:

  • Quade Cummins 45-1
  • Peter Kuest 80-1
  • Patrick Cover 80-1
  • Matthew Riedel 150-1

Swiss Seniors Open — Legends Tour

Best Bet: Michael Long +3500 (bet365)

It's slim pickings for the old guys in Europe this week. With a major going on, we have a few of the top players there, so that's dragging down the numbers of everyone else even more than usual.

I do like Michael Long this week. He's been in a decent run of form, finishing 22nd in the U.S. Senior Open a couple weeks ago and making a run to the quaterfinals in match play prior to that.

This has also been a good stop for him after finishing sixth and 10th the past two years.

I'm not really going to extend myself much here, but I do like this play.

Shigeo Nagashima Invitational Sega Sammy Cup — Japan Golf Tour

Best Bet: Takashi Ogiso +4500 (bet365)

We close out a busy week in Japan. Takashi Ogiso caught my eye the most this week.

For the price, he's been in great form. He's got four straight top-20 finishes, including a win in Korea last month.

This course wasn't kind to him early in his career, but the 28-year-old seemed to figure it out a little last year. He made the cut for the first time and finished 13th.

Other Shigeo Nagashima Invitational Sega Sammy Cup Bets:

  • Kosuke Suzuki 90-1
  • Mikiya Akutsu 100-1
