Belmont Stakes Odds 2024: Sierra Leone Favored at Saratoga, Seize the Grey Right Behind

It is time for the third and final leg of the Triple Crown, as the horses will race for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 8.

There will be no Triple Crown winner this year since Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan came in second in the Preakness Stakes a few weeks ago. Still, Mystik Dan has his chance to enter the history books considering not many horses have gone 1-2-1 in the three biggest races of the year.

This year's Belmont Stakes will be raced at Saratoga and run at 1.25 miles instead of the traditional 1.5 miles because of renovations at Belmont Racetrack. That should be notable for handicapping since typically for the Belmont it's important to look at horses that can go the distance.

Mystik Dan is not one of the favorites heading into the Belmont. Mystik Dan is at a mid-range price on the morning line at 12-1. One of the Kentucky Derby Favorites, Sierra Leone, is the favorite to win the Belmont Stakes at 3-1. Sierra Leone lost by a nose to Mystik Dan in the Kentucky Derby.

Preakness Stakes winner Seize the Grey is right behind Sierra Leone at 5-1.
