Wet NASCAR weather has plagued North Wilkesboro Speedway since All-Star Race on-track activity began on Friday, however, there should be plenty of optimism ahead of Sunday's Open and main event races.

NASCAR did complete qualifying on Saturday to set the starting grid for tonight's All-Star Race, but had to cancel yesterday afternoon's heat races due to rain.

As I just mentioned, the latest forecast for North Wilkesboro is very promising, but when it comes to NASCAR and rain, never say never.

Below we take a detailed look at the NASCAR weather report for Sunday, including the chances that we're once again dodging rain ahead of the 2024 All-Star Race.

NASCAR Weather Report for Sunday

The NASCAR All-Star Race format makes Sunday's schedule quite unique.

The All-Star Open, which allows drivers not currently eligible for the main event to race their ways in, is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. ET, so we're not solely concerned about the scheduled 8 p.m. ET green flag for the All-Star Race itself.

Thankfully, the forecast has improved considerably since earlier in the week when rain looked very possible for Sunday afternoon.

At first glance, there is no rain in Sunday's forecast per the National Weather Service.

Further, the highest odds of rain at any point this evening are just 12% at 7 p.m. ET, which should be a massive relief for NASCAR.

Live NASCAR odds show Denny Hamlin (+425) as the race favorite, followed by Kyle Larson (+750), William Byron (+800), Joey Logano (+800) and Brad Keselowski (+800), and our best All-Star Race bet keys in on a plus-money matchup with value.
