New York Jets

New York got back in the win column with a 14-7 win over the Commanders. They’ll look to make it two in a row against their cross-town rival, whom they have an 8-6 record against head-to-head.

The Giants began the year 0-5 against the spread, but have now covered in two straight. Their defense has stepped up, giving up 21 combined points to the Bills and Commanders after allowing at least 24 points in each of their first five games. They’ll likely need to rely on their defense once again as they average the fewest points per game in the league (12.1).

Overall, New York is 2-5 ATS while the under is 6-1.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said his defense has “embarrassed” every quarterback they’ve faced this year. That’s certainly been the case, and they have the advantage on paper against either Daniel Jones – who’s missed the last two games – or Tyrod Taylor.

The Jets are fresh off a bye after pulling off one of the biggest upsets of the season, defeating the Eagles 20-14 behind a stingy defense. The Jets are the “road” team this week. They allow 8.5 more points per game on the road (25.5 compared to 17.9), but make of that as you will considering the game will be played at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets are 4-2 ATS on the year and 1-1 as the road team.
