Mississippi State players claim Jordan-Hare is tougher than Bryant-Denny Stadium

Players and coaches have already been raving about Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium during SEC Media Days. However, Mississippi State’s John Lewis and Albert Reese IV took it a step further.

Both players were asked who had a more difficult atmosphere to play in between Auburn and Alabama.

Both said Auburn.

“Probably Jordan-Hare,” Reese said responding to the question. “They have a great fanbase. They’re no notorious for being great fans as well.

Lewis was even more adamant in his answer.

“Auburn, most definitely,” he said choosing between the two. “It’s fun, but it’s just their fans are crazy.”

The two players played at Jordan-Hare Stadium with Mississippi State last season, losing to Auburn 27-13. The two schools won’t play each other in in 2024 or 2025.

Their comments came after Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold said Georgia quarterback Carson Beck claimed Jordan-Hare Stadium is cursed. When asked, Beck called the atmosphere in last season’s Auburn-Georgia game “insane” and “absolutely ridiculous.”

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart called Jordan-Hare Stadium “one of the hardest places to play in the world.” Georgia narrowly beat Auburn 27-20 at Jordan-Hare Stadium last season, but the crowd seemed to have an impact early in the game.

Auburn’s home schedule in 2024 includes nonconference games against Alabama A&M, Cal, New Mexico and UL-Monroe and conference games against Arkansas, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.
