The Suns enter tonight’s game with a 0-2 record, as they are coming off a close 98-94 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Phoenix is looking for a bounce back performance this evening, which will be heavily reliant on their forward David Roddy.

Roddy was a first round pick in 2022, and he led the team offensively against Indiana. The young player scored 16 points and shot 7-13 from the field, while also obtaining 12 rebounds in the loss.

Roddy will need some help from other scorers, especially his rookie teammate Oso Ighodaro. The rookie ended the team’s last game with 12 points and made all of his shots from the field, so Ighodaro will try to replicate that performance this evening.

Oklahoma City has been one of the worst performing teams at the NBA Summer League this year, as they possess a winless record.

The Thunder have struggled to remain competitive in both of their games, losing each matchup by more than 20 points. Despite their poor start, Oklahoma City’s roster contains some young talent that could stack some wins. Specifically, Oklahoma City will need to rely on rookie Ajay Mitchell, who scored a team-high 21 points in their last game. Mitchell also shot 8-14 from the field, so he has been a consistent scorer for the team.

Mitchell will need some help from fellow rookie Dillon Jones, who mightily struggled in the team’s last matchup. He missed all six of his three-point shots and ended the night with 11 points, so he will try to play better this evening.
