When one of the world's most iconic and seemingly ageless supermodels starts a skin-care line, the beauty world takes note — and when that line launches a new product, we absolutely can't wait to try it out for ourselves. Such is the case with Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty line, and the launch of its latest product, the Revive & Brighten Eye Masque.

Infused with the brand's exclusive melon complex (more on that later) and a host of other hydrating ingredients, these purple gel patches promise a more alert-looking and plump-feeling undereye area in just 10 to 15 minutes. Hey, if Crawford's glowing complexion (or makeup-free gym selfie) is anything to go by, we're already sold.

"I love using our new eye masques before applying my makeup [to] smooth out that whole undereye area so makeup goes on flawlessly," Crawford exclusively tells Allure. She uses them a few times a week to keep her undereye area hydrated, as well as "for an instant pick-me-up before shoots, when traveling, or even for that little extra bit of pampering."

As mentioned above, the undereye gels are infused with the brand's signature ingredient, superoxide dismutase (SOD, for short), which Crawford calls "the youth molecule." SOD is an antioxidant that's derived from the pulp of rare melons grown in the south of France. If that weren’t fancy enough, the gel patches also contain plenty of other soothing ingredients, including seaweed extract, willow herb, niacinamide, and everyone’s favorite skin hydrator (myself included), hyaluronic acid.

If you haven't used an undereye mask before, I'd implore you to add one into your regular regimen ASAP — and here's why. "Not enough sleep, allergies, weather, or one too many glasses of wine the night before can leave your eyes out of sorts," explains Howard D. Sobel, a New York City-based dermatologist.

Moreover, the skin surrounding your eyes is the thinnest area of skin on your entire face, so it needs extra TLC in order to look and feel it's very best. "Due to its thin nature, the skin in this area has a higher risk of developing several types of problems, including puffy bags, dry skin, crow's-feet, uneven skin tone, loss of volume, and dark circles," Sobel says.

The good news: That's exactly what regular undereye-masking can help to address. Sobel agrees, noting that "undereye masks are great for getting brighter, smoother, more refreshed eyes, and some even offer instant results."

As a big fan of undereye masks myself — and for the sake of journalism, of course — I had to try these out. Like most gels tailored to your under-eyes, these are slippery little suckers, which is presumably why a tiny spatula is included in the jar. Lightweight and flexible, the Revive & Brighten Eye Masque patches adhere nicely, almost like a second skin, and provide an instant cooling effect that feels just plain lovely. While the gel patches are created with your under-eyes in mind, I'm told they can be used elsewhere on your complexion, too, such as between the brows to target stress lines. (Crawford says she likes using them around the lip area on her laugh lines.)

Another big plus: One package comes with 60 gels, which nets out to 30 applications if you only use them on your undereye area. Unlike other eye masks, which typically come in sets of five or eight applications, you don't have to use these sparingly — an especially important factor for someone who wakes up to dark undereye circles every. Single. Day.

Meaningful Beauty's Revive & Brighten Eye Masque retails for $52 and is available now at Ulta stores and on ulta.com.
