Written as a month to month guide as an introduction to sky watching in the uk. Excellent content. You can start in the middle of the book ie July for me. However if you are a complete beginner much useful information will be gained from reading the earlier chapters first. Excellent range of suggested deep sky objects to locate with naked eye/binoculars/small telescope. Well written, clear and easy to understand.

This is a really accessible guide. It seemed a lot easier to get into the subject than some books that seem to assume you are already an expert. My only criticism is that it is a bit big for my small pockets but the detail was worth that extra weight.
