The housing is robust and waterproof (it still recorded decent night time footage even in a downpour), the quality of footage is brilliant and the sound is one of the highlights too. You may have to play around with getting your distance from the subject right depending on your settings (sensitivity/exposure capping etc) but the menu is very easy to navigate. There are loads of options and features to fully customise your setup.
The strap is secure and it has a standard tripod mount thread which is very useful.
Possibly the only thing that I don't like about this camera is the location of the screen; if you aren't too fussed about composition, then just turn it on and close the door, if you need to check you are pointing in exactly the right direction though, you have to do it as best you can BEFORE you mount it since the screen is in the door (which swings open away from the housing with the mounting options) but, even with this set back it's not too much of a big deal!
I have used standard, Energizer rechargable batteries; if you are leaving it for a long time, or expect lots of long clips then I would go with the manufacturers recommendation of Li-ion batteries, but for me standard have been ok so far.
All in all this is a wonderful product at an affordable price that gives you and incredible insight into the natural world.
(The attached video is a "screenshotted" clip from a longer recording, the light coloured 'dots' at the end are my fault, not the cameras!)
