Ready to don your chef’s hat, but aren’t sure what you’re in the mood for? Alexa can quickly find top-rated recipes that match your desired dish name, cuisine or occasion.

Popular recipes of the day are featured daily on Echo Show devices, or you can ask for them at any time by saying: "Alexa, show me popular recipes."

Recipes by ingredient or appliance

Got ingredients on hand and not sure what to make? Give Alexa up to 3 ingredients and you’ll see a host of recipes to inspire you with what you already have in the pantry.

Try saying:

Cook along with Alexa

Alexa is the perfect sous-chef for all your cooking needs. Alexa can walk you through recipes, tell you the ingredients you’ll need, or even help you to save them for later.

To save a recipe for later on an Echo Show device, try saying, "Alexa, save this recipe" and "Alexa, show my saved recipes" to retrieve it. If you own an Echo or Echo Dot, just say, “Alexa, send recipe to my phone” and it will save in the Alexa app under More > Activity.

Timers, conversions,
and how-tos

Alexa can help keep your kitchen running smoothly with things like measurement conversions, timers and alarms. You can even set multiple timers at once simply by naming your timer.

You can now dismiss your Timers on your Echo Show 8 or 10 using the palm of your hand. To enable this, go to Device Options on your Echo Show and switch on 'Gestures'.
