Appreciate Alexa a lot more with the Echo show 10. We have had this for some time now. The sound is very good, not tinny like the dot (though not excellent like the echoes in stereo ) so we actually use it to listen to music and there are no problems with responsiveness. It also flashes up the cameras when motion is detected plus you can use it as a two way camera if you like (we have the inbuilt camera door closed though).
One of our householders has some disabilities and she has found it really useful for using lights, watching television shows and movies, playing music etc and asking all sorts of questions as well as adding to the household shopping list etc , which is great, she seems happier with a sense of some independence again ( a lot of people don't like having to ask others for help all the time). It's not perfect, but its pretty good and is always improving. And since its there, I find myself using it all the time too, especially for cooking and putting things on the shopping list when I see we're running out of something (I can see the list on my phone at the shops).
The movement on motion detection would be great if you were using it for live communication or watching something while you cook, but its a feature we don't use, nevertheless I really like the round shape both for sound projection and because I can just spin it the screen around to face either the kitchen or the living room.

The voice detection isn't perfect... you have to repeat yourself more times than you would expect. Also, adjusting the settings is more convoluted than it needs to be. Settings menu should be easier to access, and once in there it should be easier to find what you are looking for. Everything seems to be in odd places. A lot of the user profile features need to be done on the phone app also. I wish the unit itself was more independent and not reliant on the app. Setting up profiles for different family members is also a bit of a pain. I don't regret the purchase as its my first foray into a smart hub/home, but expect frustrating teething issues. I'm still working out the kinks, but I guess on the whole I'm happy with the purchase (bought on sale). At full price these stars would have been 1 less.

Have this in my kitchen and it’s so handy. Can watch my shows on it while I’m cooking or listen to music. Speakers are great and give out a ton of bass. Screen is good. As with Alexa though sometimes it doesn’t hear me or understand what I’m saying but that’s the same on all my Alexa devices.

Overall I am really happy with this product. It really is a valuable assistant for someone that cooks a lot. What separates this product apart is the screen and speaker combination. I love being able to quickly set up a timer verbally and see it count down on the screen. This feature alone makes it worth the purchase. Sound quality is better than I expected and I am happy with the voice recognition side as well.
